Thou standest at the threshold of the Darkwood of Norrtounia — a forest cursed since the First Age, where shadows walk and ancient things hunger.
Thy quest: lead a fellowship of three souls through one hundred trials and emerge alive upon the far shore.
At each crossing of paths, three choices shall be offered thee. One bringeth fortune, one bringeth peril, and one bringeth neither. Choose wisely — or die foolishly.
Thy heroes shall grow in power as they fight — gaining levels, new abilities, and the wisdom of battle-hardened survivors.
Monsters stalk the trails. Strange magic lingers in the glades. Treasure of gold and precious gems awaiteth the bold.
Should thy fellowship survive all one hundred trials, thy ranking shall be decided by the treasury gathered along the way.
Beware above all else the sound of a distant honk. Thou shalt know it when it cometh.
